What is the lifetime of the OptoSmart optotype?
OptoSmart One was designed from the start to be a maintenance-free device with a long service life. The components we use are proven in the healthcare industry and ensure minimal error rates. Even after the warranty expires, we are able to provide a quick repair at minimal cost.
How do you handle complaints?
Although the OptoSmart One is almost faultless it is an electronic device and occasionally a little thing goes wrong. In this case, our technician will usually arrive within the next working day and fix the problem on the spot. Usually, however, we will resolve the anticipated malfunction over the phone.
How long can the repair take?
The instrument is designed in a model shop manner, so any defects can be corrected on the spot. The technician on visit will replace any part within a maximum of one hour, including re-setting and calibration.
Do you meet the standards for optotypes?
OptoSmart One is the only optotype designed for general practitioners for children and adults that meets all the standards for vision testing applicable to ophthalmologists.
What happens if the standards change?
During the warranty period of 2 years from installation, we not only perform mandated updates free of charge. After the warranty expires, a service fee to cover the costs associated with the intervention of a technician
What do we need to ensure before installation?
In the office, a location with a minimum examination distance of 3 metres should be selected with an available electrical outlet within 5 metres of the installation site.
